Presented by Prof Oleg Shelkov

Prof Oleg Shelkov is the Dean of The Saint Petersburg Research Institute of Physical Culture, which was founded in 1933 and at present it is the oldest sports research institution in Russia.

The talk was ogranised by Cambridge University Russian Society with the focus on the latest technological achievements in monitoring sport performances of Russian Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Some of the presented data was unique with regards of training and maintaining the high standards of national sportsmanship in the light of coming Olympic  Games in London 2012 and Sochi (Russia) 2014
